How to Install this Flash video Player

STEP 1
Download the FREE version or buy the unbranded version of this music player. Uncompress the provided zip file to a folder.

STEP 2
Open sampleEmbedJavascript.html in your html editor, copy the embed code provided and paste it into your own html page.

STEP 3
Upload OriginalVideoPlayer.swf and your video file to your web server.

STEP 4
Change the mediaPath parameter in the embed code to point to your video file and make sure you change the player swf path to reflect its location on the web server.

Installation Notes / Tips

FILES PATHS

If you are having problems installing this media player, the first thing to try is using absolute paths instead of relative paths. For example,

Instead of using a relative path like below

options.mediaPath = "video.flv"

Use a full absolute path:

options.mediaPath = "http://www.yoursite.com/video.flv"

Embedding methods

You'll notice there are three different sample embed html files in the provided zip package:

sampleEmbedJavascript.html
The most common and recommended way to embed your flash media player.

sampleEmbedMultiplePlayers.html
This html file includes the code required to embed multiple players in one page.

sampleEmbedObject.html
The object method is an alternative method of embedding which does not require the use of javascript.

autoPlay Automatically starts playing when the player loads
Accepted values: true or false
ex: options.autoPlay = "true";
displayTime Displays time progress of the media currently playin
Accepted values: true or false
ex: options.displayTime = "false";
firstColor Changes the primary color of the flash music player
Accepted values: Any hexadecimal color value
ex: options.firstColor = "#000000";
secondColor Changes the secondary color of the flash music player
Accepted values: Any hexadecimal color value
ex: options.secondColor = "#ffffff";
backColor Changes the background color of the flash music player
Accepted values: Any hexadecimal color value
ex: options.backColor = "#ffffff";
highlightAlpha Changes the opacity of gradients in the flash music player
Accepted values: Any number between 0 and 100
ex: options.hightlightAlpha = "50";
mediaPath Tells the player which media file to load
Accepted values: Any relative or absolute path to a media file
ex: options.mediaPath = "false";
stretching Sets the stretching mode of the media
Accepted values: none,uniform,exactfit,fill
ex: options.stretching = "uniform";
autoLoop Whether you want the song to start playing again when it finishes

autoHide Automatically hides the player controls when there's no interaction
Accepted values: true or false

mediaSmoothing Whether you want the player yo smooth the video or not
Accepted values: true or false

defaultVolume Sets the default volume of the player.
Accepted values: Any number between 0 and 100
ex: options.defaultVolume = "75";
autoLoad Automatically preloads the media when the player loads
Accepted values: true or false
ex: options.autoLoad = "true";
videoStillPath Defines the static image / video still to load before any interaction with the player
Accepted values: Any relative or absolute path to a jpg, png or swf file
ex: options.videoStillPath = "screenshot.jpg";
allowFullscreen Whether you want to enable the fullscreen button on the player
Accepted values: true or false
ex: options.allowFullscreen = "true";
fontSize Defines the size of the font within the media player
Accepted values: small,medium,large
ex: options.fontSize = "medium";
showStroke Show or hide the stroke around the media player
Accepted values: true or false
ex: options.showStroke = "false";
strokeColor Sets the color of the stroke around the player
Accepted values: Any color in hexadecimal format
ex: options.strokeColor = "#000000";

How do I modify the media players parameters?

To modify the parameters of the media players, you need to modify or add options to the embed code. For example, if you wanted to change the background and buttons colors of the flash mp3 player to black, you would add / edit the backColor, firstColor and secondColor options.

Do I get the player .fla with my purchase?

No, we do not sell the .fla files of our players, we do however provide customizable .swf files. The Adobe Flash Authoring software is not needed to customize the players.

How do I set the initial volume of the flash video players?

You can set the initial volume of the flash video players by adding the defaultVolume variable in the embed code.
