Pachelbel's Canon, also known as Canon in D major, is the most famous piece of music by German Baroque composer Johann Pachelbel. Several decades after it was first published in 1919, the piece became extremely popular, and today it is frequently played at weddings.

The "Bridal Chorus" "Treulich geführt", from the opera Lohengrin. "Here Comes The Bride" is the standard march played for the bride's entrance at many formal weddings throughout the Western world.

The original orchestral suite was written by Bach for his patron Prince Leopold of Anhalt sometime between the years 1717 and 1723. The Air on the G String was the very first work by Bach to be recorded.

Felix Mendelssohn's "Wedding March", written in 1842, is one of the best known of the pieces from his suite of incidental music to Shakespeare's play A Midsummer Night's Dream. It is one of the most frequently used wedding marches.

The Four Seasons (Italian: Le quattro stagioni) is a set of four violin concertos by Antonio Vivaldi. Composed in 1723, The Four Seasons is Vivaldi's best-known work, and is among the most popular pieces of Baroque music.

The delicate and charming Minuet in G major is a keyboard piece included in the 1725 Notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach. Usually attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach, it is now attributed to Christian Petzold.

Music opens with a French overture and includes minuets, bourrées and hornpipes. It is divided into three suites. "Air" is part of Suite in F major.

The Prince of Denmark's March is a musical composition written about 1699 by Jeremiah Clarke, the first organist of the then newly rebuilt St Paul's Cathedral. The march is very popular as wedding music; it was played during the wedding of Lady Diana Spencer and Prince Charles.

Giuseppe Giordani (1751 – 1798) was an Italian composer, mainly of opera. His first opera (L'Epponina) was released in 1779. Giordani's aria Caro Mio Ben for voice and piano and was used in the film Amadeus.

Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring is the English title of the 10th movement of the cantata Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben, composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Today, it is often performed at wedding ceremonies slowly and reverently.

The Ave Maria was composed in about 1825 by Franz Schubert (1797-1828) when he was twenty-eight years old.
