Whenever we need to tweak some specular reflections, we can do that by either the specular_direct<\/em> or specular_indirect<\/em> contribution. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the same way, we might want to add some ambient occlusion in compositing. The AO pass allows us to add soft shadows close to occluded areas\u2014thus adding more realism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
