It’s a lot of fun to explore the recurring trademarks of established directors. Scorsese<\/a> never misses a chance to use Gimme Shelter<\/a>\u00a0by the Rolling Stones, and Kubrick<\/a> loved his One-Point Perspective<\/a>. And then there’s Wes Anderson<\/a>, who is basically quirk incarnate.<\/strong>\u00a0With it being allergy season in Texas, I recently spent a few days not getting off the couch. It gave me a great opportunity to revisit some of my favorite Wes Anderson films. When you find yourself six hours into a Bottle Rocket\/Moonrise Kingdom\/Life Aquatic binge, obviously certain themes begin to appear.<\/strong><\/p>\n Andy Crump<\/a>, in his Screen Rant article, \u00a0<\/em><\/span>A Beginner\u2019s Guide to Wes Anderson Movies<\/a>, <\/em>said it best:<\/p>\n Maybe more than anything else, it\u2019s the look of Anderson\u2019s films that immediately give them away as his; it\u2019s unlikely you\u2019ll ever watch Rushmore<\/em>, or Fantastic Mr. Fox<\/em>, or The Darjeeling Limited <\/em><\/span>and wonder who made it.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Let’s take a look at some Vimeo videos created by Wes Anderson<\/strong> fans that explore the director’s various calling cards.<\/p>\n\n
