Cinematography is an art form that relies on experience and expertise<\/strong> as much as it does raw talent. That being said, while many mainstream Hollywood films<\/strong> this year will call upon established cinematographers<\/strong>\u00a0like Roger Deakins<\/a>, John Toll<\/a>, and Emmanuel Lubezki<\/a>,\u00a0there’s a huge wave of up-and-coming DPs<\/strong> ready to make their mark in television and independent film.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Chinese-born Radium Cheung\u2019s<\/strong> most notable work to date might be shooting exclusively on an iPhone<\/strong> for 2015\u2019s Tangerine<\/em><\/a>, but he\u2019s been doing camera operating, grip and gaffing work<\/strong> since the early 2000s. Besides feature films, he\u2019s DPed episodes of The Americans<\/em><\/a> and Billions<\/a> <\/em>and has The Drowning <\/a><\/em>coming out in 2016.<\/p>\n
