Movies in Color<\/a> was started by Roxy Radulescu<\/a>, a graphic designer who grew tired of looking through Pantone\u00a0books and experimenting with the color wheel in Photoshop<\/strong>. While watching Skyfall<\/a>,<\/em> the cinematography of Roger Deakins<\/a> really grabbed her attention. It was then she decided to find still images from the films, and breakdown the colors<\/a> used in a scene.<\/p>\n

Eventually, I used the blog to keep a record of color palettes<\/a> that I could use in projects, or that I could reference for a few interesting color combinations. I was very excited to find other artists also found them useful for their projects. So far, it has not only been an aesthetic pursuit but also an educational one. Overall, it is a study of color in films, but mainly, it has other uses and applications. One of the goals is to give artists and designers color palettes they can use in paintings, films, videos, graphic design, and other pursuits.<\/span>\u00a0–\u00a0Roxy Radulescu<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
