Canon adds two new DSLR cameras\u00a0and a new mirrorless body\u00a0\u2014 all under $1,000. Don’t expect to shoot video in 4K.<\/h2>\n

Canon has just\u00a0announced the arrival of their new DSLR cameras \u2014 the EOS 77D<\/a> and Rebel T7i<\/a>. Also joining the camera lineup is the Canon M6<\/a> \u2014 the latest mirrorless body from Canon. These cameras will hit the shelves in the\u00a0coming months with a few stand-out features.<\/p>\n

The DSLR bodies are very similar, including the sub-$1,000 price point and the lack of 4K video<\/strong>. These cameras improve upon\u00a0their predecessors\u00a0in a few ways, but many features remain the same. Each of these\u00a0cameras is absolutely fine. Not great. Not cool. Just fine.<\/p>\n

Canon 77D<\/h3>\n

A seemingly mild step up from the Canon Rebel series, the 77D’s target audience is the beginner\u00a0photographer\/videographer. Like the 80D, the new camera will have a\u00a07,650-pixel RGB+IR metering sensor<\/strong> and offers\u00a0anti-flicker mode to help deal with artificial lighting.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

To distinguish itself from the Rebel series, the 77D will feature\u00a0a top LCD screen so shooters can see their settings while taking photos or recording video.<\/p>\n
