Simply go to <strong>Preferences<\/strong>, select <strong>General<\/strong>, scroll down to <strong>bins<\/strong>, and change the <strong>double-click option<\/strong> from &#8220;<strong>open in new window<\/strong>&#8221; to &#8220;<strong>open in place<\/strong>.&#8221; Now, whenever you open a bin, it will remain within the project manager. This will remove the additional step\u00a0of moving a bin around your interface while you preview files.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 id=\"unlink-audio\"><strong>Unlink Audio<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Although dragging footage into the timeline without the audio is a basic task, the web is full of questions about how to do this. If you&#8217;re working with drone footage or documentary footage \u2014 or anything that makes the sound\u00a0redundant \u2014 it can become a pain to <strong>unlink the video footage and then delete it<\/strong>.
