Some exciting updates to our original Camera Rumors of 2017 post<\/a>. It doesn’t look like we will see the Canon Cinema EOS C100 Mark III this year after all, but rather the all new C200<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to Canon Rumors<\/a>, a “pretty loaded” C200 that can shoot 4K footage<\/strong> will be announced in the coming months.\u00a0Based on the upcoming event schedule, we can expect to hear the announcement at Cinegear<\/a> <\/strong>on or around the first of June.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re told from one of our retail sources that the next camera body from Canon is going to be the Cinema EOS C200. \u2014 Canon Rumors<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It’s not yet known if the C200 will replace the C100 Mark II or if it will be an addition to the Cinema EOS line. Knowing how Canon has marketed their past few cameras, I’ll be shocked if the C200 comes out\u00a0at a reasonable market price. I’m expecting the camera to come in\u00a0around the $7,000-$9,000 range<\/strong>, even though it should really be\u00a0around $5,000-$6,000.<\/p>\n
