They prefer to be cool \u2014\u00a0around room temperature \u2014<\/strong>\u00a0so they can do their camera things. As such, when you’re shooting outside in the heat<\/strong>, cameras begin to overheat, which causes everything from stoppages to long-term problems<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

If you are shooting outside and you know the temperature may be creeping up, here are\u00a0seven<\/strong>\u00a0useful tips to keep you and your camera cool in the heat<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Use\u00a0Umbrellas<\/h3>\n

Let’s start with the most obvious solution. You put a mini umbrella on your camera<\/strong> like it’s a damn Mai Tai on a Caribbean beach.\u00a0While we may be kidding (a little bit), umbrellas (whether\u00a0full-size to cover\u00a0your rig<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0small enough to\u00a0keep only your camera shaded<\/strong>) can actually be quite helpful. Just be mindful of any pi\u00f1a colada jokes that\u00a0may get thrown your way.<\/p>\n

Keep It in the Bag<\/h3>\n

This is especially true if your camera is black or dark colored<\/strong>, but one easy way to fight overheating is to simply keep your camera out of the sun<\/strong>. That means that if it’s not in use, keep it in the bag<\/strong>.
