Pachelbel's Canon, also known as Canon in D major, is the most famous piece of music by German Baroque composer Johann Pachelbel. Several decades after it was first published in 1919, the piece became extremely popular, and today it is frequently played at weddings. Beautiful, elegant, and pure.

  • Jean-Joseph Mouret (1682, Avignon - 1738) was a French composer whose dramatic works made him one of the leading exponents of Baroque music in his country. Mouret's name survives today thanks to the popularity of the Fanfare-Rondeau from his first Suite de symphonies. It is a popular musical choice in many modern weddings.
