Biba Dupont

Helga Blanco and Xalo Gayoso are two composers and piano performers based in Madrid (Spain). Since 2010 they worked in different projects (Sub Rosa, Birdhub and now Biba Dupont), also composing for film and multimedia. The latest album, Dietrich, was premiered by Spanish most influent magazine, MondoSonoro, and selected by Amazon Music from the best Spanish Albums of Electronic Music at 2017. They won the Galician Music Prize and they were finalists at the Independent Music Prize of Spain. With their current Project, Biba Dupont, (1 Million listeners/month on Spotify) they are exploring the connections between minimal piano textures and electronic soundscapes, mixing ritual fragmented voices, African-like rhythms and minimal piano sequences. Emotional landscapes with a strong rhythmic pattern and club feel, always focusing on the organic side of the music.
