Published: Last Updated:

Learn how to create a vectorized line art animation in this Cinema 4D Video Tutorial.

One of the coolest (and lesser known) features in Cinema 4D is the ability to render out a vectorized 2D style animation using the Sketch and Toon effect. The following tutorial by EJ Hassenfratz at Eyedesyn shows how to use this flat, line-art style in the following animation:

Turntable Loop

All of the effects and plug-ins used in this tutorial are native to Cinema 4D. The tutorial covers:

  • Sketch Style Tags
  • Working with Outlines and Overlaps
  • Choosing Background Colors
  • Working Matte Materials
  • Advanced Sketch and Toons Options

You can also download the project files from Eyedesyn’s website.
