Last weekend, snow pummeled the northeast and US Speaker of the House Paul Ryan spiritedly captured the event in a three day Internet livestream from his balcony at the U.S. Capitol Building. Hundreds of thousands of users logged on to watch the downfall, but then something happened…
Viewers became fixated on the three minute track looped in the background of the video stream, PremiumBeat’s Golden Skies by composer Liam Aidan. The pulsing rhythm, the tropical club beat… they took to the YouTube comments to find out the origin of the track:
Then the national media jumped on it, covering what GQ called “The Song of the Year.”
The Washington Post called the music “amazing” and launched an online poll to determine its origin.
BuzzFeed said, “People came for the visuals of snow falling…but stayed for THE INCREDIBLE MUSIC.”
“New York’s hottest club is Paul Ryan’s freezing DC balcony,” said The Verge.
THEN, The NY Daily News outted Liam Aidan as the composer of this catchy track.
Whew, what a weekend for PremiumBeat music!
More “Tropical Sex Jam Perfection”
By the way, that was a direct quote from GQ on Aidan’s track.
We can’t believe all the press this received and are elated that so many people liked Golden Skies. So, we rounded up a collection of other tracks in the PremiumBeat library with similar laid-back dance grooves.
Have a listen. Then, license any of these tracks for your own video projects. Enjoy… and keep warm!
