Why don't I have a monetization ID for my track?

Updated over 6 months ago

YouTube Monetization IDs will not be available in the following cases:

For subscription downloads

• We’ve introduced YouTube channel allowlisting to help subscription customers avoid copyright claims automatically and monetize their videos without needing to add a YouTube Monetization ID. See here for more details.

For SFX

• Monetizing on YouTube is only possible with music tracks, not SFX.

For tracks licensed before June 10th, 2024

• Any YouTube videos published before June 10th, 2024 have been automatically allowlisted. This means you will collection monetization revenue from these videos.

• Be sure you use the YouTube Monetization ID from your order detail page on future videos (from June 10th, 2024 onward) to ensure you collect your monetization earnings.

• If you licensed a track before June 10th, 2024 but published a YouTube video using the track from June 10th onward, please reach out to us and our support team will generate you a YouTube Monetization ID for your video.

For upgraded music orders

• We don't provide a new YouTube Monetization ID for upgraded orders. Please use the ID provided from the original order.

In the above cases, you'll see 'not applicable' where you would normally see a YouTube Monetization ID.
