How can I protect my YouTube videos from copyright claims and monetize them?

Protecting YouTube videos from copyright claims and monetizing with PremiumBeat

Updated over 4 months ago

Licensing music with PremiumBeat means you have all the rights you need to use the music on YouTube.

If you licensed a track without a subscription (à la carte):

We provide a YouTube Monetization ID with each track. You can find it on your Order Details page.

Include this code in your YouTube video description at upload time to avoid copyright claims and enable monetization (please note that only eligible YouTube channels can monetize).

Here’s an example of how the code might be formatted in the video description:

• Code: PVOCJJYPJAOBRUIE

Each Monetization ID covers up to 5 videos. The number of YouTube channels you can monetize depends on your license type:

Creator License – 1 channel

Standard License – 5 channels

Premium License – Unlimited channels

Business License – Unlimited channels

If you're using music or SFX under a subscription plan:

We now support YouTube channel allowlisting for active subscriptions, so you can avoid copyright claims automatically—no Monetization ID needed.

To allowlist your channel:

• Log in to your PremiumBeat account

• Go to your Plans page

• Add your YouTube channel ID

• Your channel will be protected from Content ID claims

Allowlisting limits by subscription tier:

Creator Subscription – 1 allowlisted channel at a time

Standard Subscription – Up to 5 allowlisted channels

Note: If you’ve used all your allowlist slots and want to add a new channel, you’ll need to remove an existing one first.

Make sure your channel is allowlisted before uploading to avoid any copyright claims.
