Licensing music with PremiumBeat means you have all the rights you need to use our music on YouTube. If you receive a copyright claim, don’t worry—it just means that YouTube has detected copyrighted music in your video. It does not mean there’s anything wrong with your license or that your video can’t be published or monetized (please note that only eligible YouTube channels can monetize).
If you licensed a track individually (not through a subscription):
To clear the claim, make sure:
1. You have a valid license from PremiumBeat for the track you're using
2. You’ve included the YouTube Monetization ID (found on the Order Details page) in the video description
3. You haven’t used the same Monetization ID on more than 5 YouTube videos
Here’s an example of how the code might be formatted in the video description:
• Code: PVOCJJYPJAOBRUIE
Once you've done the above, dispute the claim directly from your YouTube account. The claim should clear within a few minutes.
If you already submitted a dispute before including the Monetization ID, contact us and we’ll help release the claim manually.
If you’re using music from a subscription plan:
PremiumBeat subscription users can now allowlist YouTube channels to avoid claims automatically—no Monetization ID required.
To resolve the claim:
1. Check if the video was uploaded to a channel currently allowlisted in your PremiumBeat account
2. If not, go to your Plans page and add the channel URL
3. Then, dispute the claim from your YouTube account
The claim should clear shortly after.
If you already submitted a dispute before allowlisting your YouTube channel, contact us and we’ll help release the claim manually.
Note: If you’ve reached your channel limit (e.g. 5 channels on a Standard Subscription), you’ll need to remove an existing channel to make room for a new one.
What about monetization revenue?
No need to worry—you won’t lose monetization revenue:
• Once the claim is cleared, you’ll receive all the revenue earned during the claim period
• Any revenue earned afterward is yours too
