It’s time to get social. Learn how to publish straight to various social media accounts from within Premiere Pro.

When exporting a video from Adobe Premiere Pro, you have a wide array of options with which to tinker. You can manually adjust video and audio settings, and you can add effects such as captions, an image overlay, timecode overlay, video limiter, and several other useful tools.

In addition to device presets, Premiere offers up a plethora of social media presets, including options for Twitter, Vimeo, YouTube and Facebook. If you browse through presets in the Export Settings dialog box, you’ll find one preset for Facebook, two for Twitter, four for Vimeo, and five for YouTube, including an option for 4K. (If you want to export a Premiere Pro project to Instagram, there’s a way to do that, too.)

To truly harness the power of your export, check out the Publish tab in the Export Settings dialog box. This allows you to automate a video upload and instantly share to any of the four social media outlets you choose, including YouTube, Vimeo, Twitter and Facebook.

This will save you an ample amount of time, since you can do everything from within Premiere. Now you don’t have to log in to all of your separate accounts via a web browser, where you’re possibly forgetting passwords and usernames, and having to upload multiple times.

Just authorize each social media account once within Premiere, and then everything else is handled during export. It’s a huge timesaver if you share media often.

Under the Publish tab, you’ll find checkboxes next to each social media account and a section to add details. For Twitter, you can add a status. For Vimeo and YouTube, you can set your privacy options, add keywords, and write out your description. For Facebook, you can add a description and set your privacy options, including whether to publish the video to just your group of friends or to make it available publicly on your wall.

In addition to publishing your content to social media, you can also automate an upload via FTP. Finally, you can choose to have the file automatically deleted off of your local drive after export.
