Light leaks continue to be a popular effect for video editors – a quick way to give your digital footage a vintage, organic film look. Recently we profiled a free light leak pack from Premiumbeat blog friend, CreativeDojo.net. You can get that pack of free light leaks (16 clips total, all in HD) over at the Dojo site.

In this post, we’re sharing another free light leak pack to hit the web, this time from Sydney based LightLeakLove.com. The free light leak pack is a sample of the effects included in their paid package.

Each of the leaks in this set is a 1080P ProRes clip, so you can use it in any video editing or motion graphics application. Just layer the light leak clip above your footage in your editing app and change the composite mode. This quick video tutorial shows you how (the tutorial is focused on Final Cut Pro X but the process is the same in any video editing app):
